Problem

The client had pickers that encountered empty bins and not enough quantity during picking the process,. This wasted valuable time and caused the incomplete picking of orders.

The Qixas Solution

After reviewing the manual bin replenishment process currently in place, Qixas recommended creating a view of bin contents including optimal bin replenishment that is accessed from a tablet. This gave the client up-to date view of the bins that needed replenishment. The process also allowed for immediate registration of the replenishment.

Simple Item & Bin Inquiry

Employees were able to instantly view detailed information like location and quantity about a specific warehouse item or bin from any device.

Reduced Manual Tracking

The manual tracking of warehouse transactions was no longer required which reduced the overhead and risk of errors if data was entered twice.

Easy Receiving and Put-Aways

The receiving feature let users receive against warehouse receipts or source documents like purchase orders and transfers. Cross-docking alerts were generated on the handheld.
