The stakes are high, and as of this writing, Antarctica remains the ONLY continent yet to be impacted by the novel coronavirus pandemic. Many lives have been touched, many families isolated, Government’s working under pressure, and many businesses around the world forced to temporally close down to slow the spread of this global pandemics, thereby affecting their regular working activities.

Many companies already had put in place reliable IT and cybersecurity strategies that cover end-user workstations as employees will have to access sensitive information, mostly when they visit the office. However, with the stay at home and social distancing policies implemented by many governments, working remotely seems to be the next pivoted alternative.

Working remotely for most companies isn’t going to be business as usual, so how do we handle an intense transition to working from home? Many companies will have to tamper with their existing security measures to allow employees to access work files, and this move in the long term can significantly put pressure on the security infrastructure within on-premise workstations. On the other hand, management may appreciate how fast you deliver your assignments from home. Still, at the slightest moment, there is a security breach, intellectual property, or money theft, all your praises might soon turn to misfortunes.

Adapting Windows Virtual Desktop WVD

As a smart business owner, you will want your employees to be more efficient and productive when working from home. On the other hand, you will not want your company’s security breached. Moving forward, providing a scalable, desktop as a service option, with a reliable enterprise-class solution tailored to meet the needs of the company from the ground to the highest officials with security in mind, will go a long way in getting the business running again.

Windows Virtual Desktop is a cloud-based service with a desktop and application virtualization solution that allows multiple users to access the remote desktop from their stay at the home location with any browser.  WVD gives you the benefit by ensuring your cooperate information is secured and under your control.

Employees can quickly request a virtual desktop and ask that it be provisioned based on their profile. Within a short moment, they can connect via the windows virtual desktop web on android, macOS, or Ios operating systems. For businesses that are more concerned about working hours for their employees, then they will need to set up the licensed feature of windows 365 and WVD to focus on real-time collaborative features. We also recommend that all documents are shared through OneDrive for business through the synced browser for easy access afterward.

Another vital step is to enable Team collaboration via Microsoft teams. These features not only allow group presentation but encourages one-to-one meetings to ensure no break in communication during crucial interaction.

A lot is changed. The world is likely not going to be the same after this. Many CTO’s will encourage remote collaborations as it might even turn out to be more beneficial than the latter.  Learn more about Windows Virtual Desktop here.
