I have a heavily customized solution, Why do I need NAV training?

One of the greatest advantages of Microsoft Dynamics software is that it allows you to customize your solution in a way that works for your organization.

With so much freedom to customize, many businesses question how training can benefit their organization, given that so many of the features have been customized specifically to enhance their unique operations. Here are some of the reasons that you should consider training for NAV, even if your system is heavily customized.

Learning the natural flow of the software

Despite the manner in which your solution has been customized, the base elements of the software remain consistent. If a user properly understands how the foundation of the software operates, they will have a much easier time navigating the essentials of the software, which in turn will better prepare them to efficiently use the custom aspects of the system.

            Navigation best practices

Beyond learning the natural flow of the software, training is beneficial because it allows end-users to learn and understand navigation best practices. Equipped with these fundamentals, employees are also given the ability to implement customized solutions according to best practices. This is advantageous because it can encourage space saving on servers (creating custom attributes for existing, instead of new, attributes), allow developers to make the right choices regarding custom workflow activities, as well as guide the integration of customized plug-ins that will make a significant impact.

            Base Relational and Technical Knowledge

Regardless of the customized solutions utilized by your organization, professional training can help ensure that all end-users develop the base relational and technical knowledge that will ensure their success in the new environment. Relational knowledge can help employees understand the “why” behind the software, so they know how the new processes function and what benefits they will bring, which is particularly important for customized solutions. Technical knowledge supplements relational knowledge, helping users efficiently navigate and utilize the software to its full potential.

For many organizations, standardized cookie-cutter training will not work for their ERP implementation, particularly when highly customized solutions are being integrated. At Qixas Academy, we understand that the needs and demands for ERP differ from organization to organization, which is why we offer custom training solutions geared towards helping businesses get the most from their ERP solution. From development and implementation, to usability and consulting services, Qixas Group can help ensure that your organization fully leverages everything that Microsoft Dynamics has to offer.
