artificial intelligence (ai) and machine learning (ml)

Let’s get real about AI. It’s not just a buzzword anymore – it’s becoming a central part of business operations. By 2025, 30% of marketing content will be created by AI and polished by humans. AI offers a lot of exciting possibilities, but it also comes with some serious risks if not handled correctly.

You’ve probably heard about the Samsung data leak – a stark reminder that new technology can be a double-edged sword. In fact, the Ponemon Institute found a 44% increase in insider threat incidents in the last two years. Often, these aren’t malicious attacks, but rather well-intentioned employees who don’t fully understand the new technology they’re using.

To navigate these risks, we need to approach AI with a plan. That’s where Azure OpenAI Service comes in.

            Let’s Talk Azure OpenAI Service

Azure OpenAI Service, a joint effort by Microsoft and OpenAI, offers a secure platform for AI applications. Here’s the big promise: your prompts, your embeddings, and your training data? They’re yours and yours alone. They’re not shared with other customers or OpenAI, and they’re not used to improve OpenAI models or any Microsoft or third-party products or services.

            Processing Your Data Safely

Azure OpenAI takes your prompts and generates content through a secure data processing system. When you use the “on your data” feature, the service pulls relevant data from your configured data store, enhances the prompt, and generates content that’s grounded with your data – all without copying any of your data into the Azure OpenAI service.

            Tailoring Models with Your Data

With Azure OpenAI, you can fine-tune OpenAI models using your own training data. This data is stored securely and is only available for your use. Plus, it’s not used to improve any Microsoft or third-party base models.

Keeping Content Clean and Abuse in Check

Azure OpenAI Service is equipped with content filtering and abuse monitoring tools to help reduce the risk of misuse. Content filtering happens in real time as prompts are processed to generate content. On the other hand, abuse monitoring flags recurring content or behaviors that suggest misuse. To enable this, Azure OpenAI securely stores all prompts and generated content for up to 30 days.

            Customizing Abuse Monitoring

We understand that some businesses may have specific use cases that involve processing sensitive or highly confidential data. To accommodate these needs, Microsoft allows qualified customers to modify Azure OpenAI’s content management features.

            Wrapping Up

The future of business is tied to AI, and with that comes a new terrain of security considerations. Azure OpenAI Service offers a secure, robust platform for leveraging AI power while maintaining rigorous data security standards. As a Microsoft Gold partner, Qixas Group is here to help you navigate these new challenges. Let’s talk about securing your Azure OpenAI business today.
