The Road to Dynamics NAV 2018 and Tenerife

At the 2017 NAVUG Summit in Nashville. We got an idea of Microsoft’s roadmap to NAV 2018 and Tenerife during a session by Marco Perisic, General Manager for Dynamics 365. This left some with the question what is the outlook for NAV on premise? Microsoft specified that NAV hosted and SAAS versions will continue to get yearly updates and when the 365 version arrives in 2018, there will be a SAAS and on premise offering.

Dynamics NAV 2018 will be available December 1, but come spring we can expect some new changes. NAV 2018 R2 will be released and Microsoft’s newest product, a cloud only SAAS solution, Dynamics 365 “Tenerife” will be launched.

Microsoft is looking to streamline processes even more with Tenerife, focusing On Office 365 Integration and the quote to cash process. Dynamics 365 Tenerife will offer a larger range of customizations, add-on options and the ability to personalize the user experience in the client. It will contain full NAV functionality and will have the same code base as on-premise.

We will be providing month to month updates to the Dynamics NAV community to keep you informed about important dates regarding the new releases.  Sign up for the Microsoft Dynamics Insider and be the first to know.
